I am the owner of boathouse and slip A3 in Ladysmith Marina for the past three years and would like to express my thanks for the functional design and solid construction of the boathouse and the operation of the marina.
Almost every time I visit my boathouse I see some new improvements and amenities for the tenants. The grounds and docks are kept in A1 shape and the staff are friendly and helpful. Security and facilities are adequate and it appears that my thoughts are shared given the number of tenants resident on the marina.

I have just had a custom 80- foot boathouse constructed to my requirements by the Oak Bay Marine Group. The lack of any sizeable well-constructed boathouses on Vancouver Island has created my decision to own a custom-built boathouse. The construction starts on the up-land within a custom boat-house assembly structure. The assembly jig permits the framing phase of the boat-house to be efficient. During the building, the general manager had some excellent suggestions to improve the functionality. The finished product is a beautiful solid structure the craftmanship is at an extremely high standard. I am incredibly pleased with the outcome and, I look forward to the winter boat projects within the weather protection of my new boathouse.

Oak Bay Sea Rescue Society, Operating RCMSAR Station 33, was in need of a new boathouse. Our structure would need to withstand not only the exposure of prevailing winds and surg in a relatively open bay, but it also had to accommodate our rescue vessel on a lift system, a “dry room” for our equipment, and a training room on a mezzanine level. In the past 14 years I have had the opportunity to have two quality built boat houses provided by Ladysmith Marina. In both cases the construction was completed on time, within budget, and the contractor was flexible in allowing additional improvements through the building process. The protected location of the marina is ideal for great cruising. The property and floats are well kept, and security has never been an issue.
